Fru Fru Boats operates from Rabac harbour, a small seaside town on the eastern coast of Istria. Pula sits at the peninsula's southern tip. The two face different seas: Pula opens toward the Brijuni archipelago and the open Adriatic; Rabac faces the sheltered Kvarner gulf and the island of Cres across the water.
That geography is the whole point of the drive. You are not getting "the Pula boat day, an hour away." You're getting a different boat day — one that most Pula-based rentals can't reach inside a comfortable single outing.
The Short Drive East

What You Reach From Rabac
From Rabac harbour, by boat:
- Cres island (~1 hour west) — Sveti Ivan beach below Lubenice, ranked the best in the region, and the Blue Cave in the same bay. One run, two icons.
- The dolphin water — the open Kvarner channel between Rabac and Cres holds a documented resident bottlenose pod. Sightings are never guaranteed (more below), but a Rabac launch sits on top of the corridor.
- Plomin Bay (~12 min north) — a sheltered fjord with a working-harbour konoba.
- Mošćenička Draga (~24 min north) — pebble-beach village with a celebrated konoba.
- Rabac riviera coves (5–15 min) — cliff-and-pebble bays with no land access, reached comfortably only by boat.
The structural advantage past guests describe: the closest cove is fifteen minutes, the farthest konoba about seventy. A lot of arrival points inside one day.

The Fleet You Drive
Fru Fru Boats runs a small fleet you can take self-drive or with a local skipper:
- Licensed speedboats (Croatian-recognised recreational licence required): Cap Camarat 7.5, Sessa Key Largo 20, Invictus, FIART OASSI 22. These have the range for a Cres day.
- No-licence boats (≤15 kW / 20 HP, any adult after a briefing): Dalmatinka and Remija — built for the coastal Rabac-Plomin range and cove hops.
If you want the Cres-distance day and nobody holds a licence, take a skipper — local, reads the wind, knows where the pod tends to be at this hour.

We're just east of you. Fru Fru Boats casts off from Rabac harbour on Istria's eastern coast, about an hour from Pula, with pickup and return in Rabac. Make the short drive and you swap Pula's Brijuni day for clearer Kvarner water, Cres, and the eastern coves — a different sea entirely.
How far is Rabac from Pula?

Can I reach Brijuni from Rabac?
Practically, no — Brijuni is the right boat day from Pula, which sits beside the archipelago. From Rabac you'd be cruising the wrong direction for hours. Rabac's strength is the opposite shore: Cres, the dolphin water, and the eastern coves.
