The promise.

Practical and sun-friendly. Cushioned bow seating doubles as a sundeck. Solar shade canopy keeps the heat off. Ladder platform makes getting back on board simple — important for kids and anyone who's been out of the water for a while. Smooth handling, easy to learn — the boat is forgiving.

Licence.

No licence needed to drive the Remija. The Remija is a 5.5 m open boat with a 20 HP engine that sits under the Croatian threshold (15 kW) for licence-free recreational use, with a 5 nautical-mile coastal range from Rabac harbour. A 20-minute briefing on the dock covers throttle, steering, anchor, the route, and who to call — and you cast off.

What's included.

Full tank at handover. Life jackets adult + kid sizes. Anchor. Bilge / safety kit. Phone-on-call. Insurance: Generali Osiguranje.

On board.

The Remija is the boat for the trip you'd describe as easy. Two adults and the kids, a cooler with sandwiches, a half-day at Maslinica with a stop at a cove for a swim. The cushioned bow takes whoever isn't driving; the ladder platform takes whoever just got out of the water — and that platform is what saves kids and tired adults from a side-jump back over the rail. The awning takes the worst of the sun. No licence, no fuss, the harbour to the swim spot in under ten minutes.

About this boat.

What's the difference between Remija and Dalmatinka?

Dalmatinka holds 8, Remija holds 6. Dalmatinka has the larger awning and more deck. Remija has the cushioned bow and the ladder platform — better for swimming-focused days with small groups.

Is the Remija stable enough for kids running around?

Yes, in calm coastal water. We brief on rules of the road for kids (sit when the boat moves, no leaning on the bow rail). The ladder platform makes climbing back on board safer than a side-jump.

How easy is it to drive?

"Smooth handling makes driving simple for both licensed and unlicensed guests" — that's the line from the boat's spec sheet, and it's accurate. Throttle, steering, the rest is feel. Ten minutes in and you forget you're a beginner.

What if I want to drink at lunch?

Don't drive after. Either we send a skipper for the return (we offer that), or you anchor for a long lunch at a cove and let it wear off before heading back.

We're a couple looking for a quiet day — how private will it feel?

Very. The Remija is your boat for the day; no shared rentals, no second group aboard. Anchor in a cove no one's in, drop the ladder, swim, eat what you brought, listen to the water. In the right coves the phone signal disappears — by design.

If we book the skipper instead, how does that work?

He drives you out, anchors where you choose, and steps back. He's at the helm or at the bow — never in your conversation. Dressed neutrally, doesn't take photos of you, doesn't tell stories unless you ask. The day stays yours.
